Engineering and Capital Projects
Bell Boulevard Road Realignment substantially complete December 2022 – realigns Bell Boulevard from just south of Buttercup Creek Boulevard to just north of Park Street. Critical path for Bell District redevelopment to begin.
Anderson Mill Road Phase 2 design nearing completion – Expands and improves four-lane roadway between Cypress Creek Road and Zeppelin Drive and from Gaspar Bend to RM 1431.
Arterial Overlay in Cedar Park One/Carriage Hills subdivisions construction anticipated to start spring 2022 – new layer of asphalt to repair and improve several aging neighborhood streets.
Several intersection improvements under construction with estimated completion by summer 2022 – locations include the following intersections along Whitestone Boulevard: C Bar Ranch Trail, Arrow Point Drive, Discovery Boulevard and Lakeline Boulevard; and Kenai Drive at Parmer Lane. (2015 Bond-funded)
New Hope from Ronald Reagan to Sam Bass design nearing completion, construction anticipated to start spring/early summer 2022 – 4-lane divided roadway w/ raised median, curb and gutter, enclosed storm sewer system, illumination, shared use path and bike lanes. Estimated completion winter 2023.
Block House Creek Park Channel Improvements currently under design – includes flood mitigation channelization through local park and adjacent Ranchettes Sections 6 and 6a along Block House Creek.
Ranchettes 2 and 3 Central currently under design, construction anticipated to start summer 2022 – includes drainage, utility and roadway improvements within Cedar Park Ranchettes 2 and 3, and well as drainage and channel improvements to mitigate localized flooding.
Riviera Springs East Drainage Improvements engineer selected, construction TBD – Includes drainage, utility and roadway improvements within Riviera Springs subdivision between Monaco and Orleans Drives, adds drainage swale on one side of road with several outfalls into floodplain.
