Bond Advisory Task Force
Bond Advisory Task Force
In summer 2021, City Council appointed 15-member Bond Advisory Task Force to review possible capital projects. Over the months that followed, the BATF underwent a deliberative process that started with community engagement, examining the City’s financial position and reviewing Council Strategic Goals.
The BATF presented its Final Report to City Council January 13, 2022, recommending a new General Obligation Bond Program with a total program cost of $158.8 million with escalation, across three separate categories: Transportation, Parks and Recreation and Public Facilities.
At its February 10, 2022 meeting, the Cedar Park City Council adopted a Resolution that calls a bond election on May 7, 2022; allows contracting with Williamson and Travis Counties “Election Contract”; and allows placement of items on the ballot.
