- City water system remained operational during entire duration of freeze
- Disaster averted: thanks to digital water metering, we were able to detect leaks from broken water pipes due to freeze, so crews could turn off water to homes – helping prevent more extensive water damage
- Provided for 100% leak adjustment, waived $25 plumbing permit fees, suspended late fees and service disconnects for 3 months and used prior year’s winter average to calculate sewer rate
- City staff distributed 850 cases of water to residents
- Both the Police Department and the Fire Department increased staffing for additional call volume
- 3,680,000 pounds of tree debris removed, chipped, and recycled from more than 20,000 households, public rights-of-way and parks
- E-newsletter sent at least once per day for duration of storm to more than 32,000 subscribers, keeping our community informed and safe
